Solar PV Installation at PLTU Cilacap
PLTU Cilacap, located in Central Java, is one of the most prestigious coal-fired power plant in Indonesia with a total generation capacity of 2,260 MW. Having won the Best IPP in Indonesia Award in 2015 and again in 2023, PLTU Cilacap is now embarking on a new journey to Go Green!
As a start, DND Electric Power has been entrusted with the installation of a solar PV power plant (PLTS) with a capacity of 1.13 MWp at PLTU Cilacap. The PLTS construction was completed within 5 months and generates an estimated annual electricity of 1,587,933 kWh/year.
Environmental Benefits
Some of the environmental benefits of this PLTS includes:
Annual CO2 Emission Offset = 1,270 ton-CO2 / year
Equivalent of Trees Planted = 1,017 trees
Coal Savings = 20,186 tons
Equivalent Homes Powered = 1,028 homes / year
